Record Turnover

Record Turnover for Longley Concrete

The Longley Concrete Group has seen a sharp increase in its turnover with a record-breaking figure of circa £21 million. This represents a 38% increase from the previous year.

The company’s sales have gone from strength to strength in recent months, with Julys’ turnover being the highest monthly turnover that the company has recorded in its trading history.

Longley Concrete Ltd both manufactures and installs precast concrete floors and specializes in beam and block flooring. The company has recently invested in new plant and production equipment to meet demand for precast concrete flooring, which is a positive indicator that the new build housing market is becoming more buoyant.

Michael Longley, Managing Director for the Dewsbury-based company commented “The excellent turnover figure can be attributed to a number of factors, including the increase in demand for new houses across the UK. We have also increased our capacity with the opening of a southern production facility, allowing us to produce more floor beams. The management team and staff at Longley’s have worked hard to achieve the best results the company has seen in its 67 year history.”

The business has plans for further expansion in 2015 with an extension to the head office in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
