Longley Increase Output with Key Acquisition
Longley Concrete Group, established since 1947, has recently acquired a manufacturing base in Belvedere, London.
The new facility will increase the company’s current manufacturing capacity of standard beams by 20% and gives Longley a strategic base in the South.
Michael Longley, Managing Director, said of the new facility “The London-based manufacturing plant will enable us to be more cost efficient, with less need to haul concrete from our Yorkshire head office. Although Longley Concrete has served the whole of the UK and Ireland for some time now, this acquisition will enable us to further establish our presence in the Southern market.”
The new plant is located in Belvedere and is already up and running, with the initial capacity to make 25 Tonnes of floor beams a day. Longley specialise in concrete precast flooring and construction products such as stairs and lift shafts. The firm has also recently expanded its Yorkshire head office space to accommodate for the company’s growth and success.
