Longley Concrete Retain Charter Member Status
Longley Concrete Floors is pleased to announce that the business has once again passed the necessary audits to retain its status as a Charter Member of British Precast’s Precast Sector Sustainability Charter.
The Precast Sector Sustainability Charter scheme was launched in 2010 and aims to encourage member companies of British Precast to go beyond legislation and take voluntary actions to make their products and operations more sustainable. In order to meet this aim a set of sustainability principles has been developed based on key sustainability issues facing the precast industry. To achieve Charter Member status, the Longley Concrete Group has passed a performance audit that has been designed to ensure that signatory companies are complying with the spirit of the charter and taking voluntary actions to improve their performance on sustainability.
Technical Director Vanessa Dunkley commented “We are pleased to retain our status as a Charter Member of the Precast Sector Sustainability Charter. It is important to Longley Concrete as a means of showing our commitment to sustainability, health & safety and to quality standards, not only in the production of precast concrete, but in our day to day business operations.”
