Longley Concrete end 2016 with record high production

Dewsbury-based Longley Concrete has ended 2016 with a record year for the production of its precast concrete flooring products.

The last 6 months of 2016 all saw an increase in the volume of precast concrete flooring, to end an exceptionally busy and successful year.

Managing Director Michael Longley commented “The business continues to go from strength to strength and in 2017 we’re proud to say that Longley Concrete has been successfully trading for 70 years. We have plans to increase production capacity at our three manufacturing plants to manage the ongoing demand for our precast concrete flooring.”

The business also has plans for further capital investment to help improve their existing product portfolio. This will include the addition of a new overhead crane at the Northern Ireland manufacturing plant. The Northern Ireland facility primarily manufactures staircases, lift shafts and stadia and the additional crane will enable the factory to produce a heavier range of products.

Longley Concrete supply beam and block, hollow core and insulated flooring as well as staircases, lift shafts and stadia. The family business has been established 70 years in 2017 and has three manufacturing plants, in Yorkshire, London and Northern Ireland.
