LNT Construction choose Longley Concrete
The Project
Longley Concrete, part of The Longley Group, has been working with LNT Construction (LNT) for over 20 years. In that time, they have been the exclusive supplier of precast concrete beam and block floors, staircases and lift shafts to the care home provider.

LNT build care homes for the over 65s to enable them to live independently and comfortably in their own private room, with the companionship of other likeminded people and security that help is close by if it is needed. LNT has been working with Longley Concrete since 1995 when Longley Concrete provided concrete flooring for their Lydgate Lodge care home, built for Ideal Carehomes in Batley. Since then, Longley’s has supplied its high quality precast concrete products for over 50 new care homes across the UK. Longley Concrete now supply LNT with precast concrete floors, staircases and lift shafts for both their 2 and 3-storey developments. Each care home has approximately 60 rooms as well as several communal areas such as residents’ lounges.
The beam and block floors are quickly installed by Longley Concrete’s contracting team and provide an immediate working platform for the build project. Concrete floring is draught and rot proof as well as fire resistant and provides both good thermal and sound insulation.
Longley Concrete manufactures the beam and block flooring as well as the lift shafts, stairs and landings at their facilities in West Yorkshire, London and Northern Ireland. Established since 1947, the business has extensive experience in designing, managing and installing precast concrete products and works with most major house builders in the UK.
