Another record breaking year for Longley Concrete
Longley Concrete has, for a third consecutive year, achieved sales of over £20 million in its financial year ending July 2016.
With a head office in West Yorkshire, the business expanded its production facilities in 2014 with the addition of a London manufacturing base. This followed the opening of a Northern Ireland facility in 2011, which manufactures staircases and lift shafts.
The firm has seen year-on-year growth since the end of the recession period. Key financial achievements include:
• Highest sales of precast concrete flooring products
• The second best sales figure in the company’s trading history for its Hollowcore product
• Record sales of lifts and staircases from the Northern Ireland facility
• Record sales for the London plant
Managing Director Michael Longley commented “The business is going from strength to strength. We are committed to continuing this trend and have recruited new starters within all departments at the head office, as well as a national sales manager. We have exciting plans for expansion at the Dewsbury site and a new flooring system which will be key to our future growth. This year saw the sale of the Whites Concrete division to Naylor Industries to allow us to focus on our core expertise of precast concrete flooring.”
