Longley Welcome Lawrence Doyle
Longley Concrete would like to welcome Lawrence Doyle to the company as a Trainee Hollowcore technician.
Lawrence will be the latest addition to the ever-expanding team after Jon Bowler joined in August. He joins Longley with a masters degree that he obtained in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Leeds in 2012.
Lawrence also has valuable experience in the construction industry working as an assistant project manager which will make him a valuable addition to the Hollowcore department.
Lawrence will work closely with the Hollowcore team to learn how to estimate and design Hollowcore flooring, used primarily in upper floors of apartments and houses.
Hollowcore floor planks are precast concrete elements that work as an effective and efficient lightweight flooring. The Hollowcore flooring sections get their name from the long holes that go through the planks, which allows them to be so lightweight yet still structurally sound.
Speaking about Lawrence joining Longley Concrete, MD Michael Longley said, “We are delighted to welcome Lawrence as the latest addition to our team and are excited to see his skills put to the test. He is extremely capable in his role and we know he’ll be an integral part to the Hollowcore department”.
Longley has remained a successful market leading company for over 70 years, through investing in people and new recruits. Everyone at Longley Concrete is looking forward to working with Lawrence and is sure he will be a valuable asset to the company.
The family owned business offers a range of precast concrete products including Beam and Block, Insulated and Hollowcore flooring. They also manufacture and install precast concrete landings, lift shafts and staircases for a variety of applications including apartment blocks.
