New Concrete Bed installed at Yorkshire office

Longley Concrete has expanded its beam production capacity by over 10% after installing a new floor beam bed at the head office in Dewsbury (Yorkshire).

The new beam bed will assist the company to meet the increasing demand for beam and block flooring across the whole of the UK.

The investment in new infrastructure is part of an ongoing plan to grow the business and Longley Concrete is pleased to be able to increase its manufacturing capabilities in the UK.

Speaking of the new bed, Managing Director Michael Longley said: “With the company celebrating its 70th birthday this year, we are keen to grow the business further and offer a greater quality product to our clients.

“This investment in a new concrete bed is a commitment to our customers that we are continuing to drive improvements and develop our products. We have further plans over the next year to increase production capacity at our other manufacturing plants to meet ongoing demands for precast concrete flooring.”

Beam and Block flooring manufactured by Longley Concrete is quick to install and provides an immediate working platform. Furthermore, any problems which might arise from ground movement are eliminated. It comes in two widths, both to a depth of 175mm.

Longley Concrete recently provided Beam and Block as well as Hollowcore flooring for a project in the Isle of Man, as well as working with leading home builders such as Gladedale Group, Harron Homes and Persimmon Homes.
