Longley Group sells Whites Concrete to Naylor Concrete Products
Precast Concrete specialist, Longley Group has completed the sale of its Whites Concrete division to Naylor Concrete products, effective from the 2nd May 2016.
Michael Longley, Managing Director said “The sale of Whites Concrete enables the Longley Group board to focus on our priority growth areas of precast flooring, stairs and lift shaft manufacture. We have invested in additional production facilities in London as well as expansion of our Yorkshire and Northern Ireland plants to enable the business to grow and to meet the increasing demand for precast flooring products. The business will be focussing on growth areas such as insulated and hollowcore flooring, as well as continuing to supply our core beam and block range.”
Barnsley-based Naylor Concrete Products Ltd manufactures a wide range of pre-stressed concrete lintels and other precast products, including the widely specified Hi-Spec lintel range. The company had an eventful 2015, celebrating its 50th anniversary as well as moving premises from Ossett to a substantial 9-acre freehold site at Barugh Green, Barnsley.

Whites Concrete is a £2m turnover manufacturer of prestressed and precast concrete panels, retaining walls and tanks. The Whites Concrete commercial team will be relocating to Barugh Green and joining the Naylor team. Longley Group Director Michael Wright will be assisting with the transition on a consultancy basis.
The Longley Group has seen year on year growth under Managing Director Michael Longley and posted record turnover figures in 2015. This included record sales for its new London production facility as well as for sales of staircases, produced from its Northern Ireland plant.
Established by Charles Longley in 1947 as a local block manufacturer, the business has successfully expanded over the years and now offers a diverse range of precast concrete products, including Beam and Block floors, Hollowcore floors and Insulated Flooring Systems. The company also manufacture and install precast concrete lift shafts, staircases and landings.
