Longley Concrete signs new British Precast Code of Practice

Michael Longley, Managing Director of Longley Concrete attended the annual British Precast conference and exhibition on the 23rd May at King Power Stadium in Leicester.

The event attracted over 40 delegates and included external safety demonstrations by CEMEX & Linde, the British Precast AGM and best practice awards.

Additionally, the Precast Flooring Federation’s (PFF) Code of Practice was officially launched by Judith Hackitt CBE, Chair of the Health & Safety Executive at PRECAST2013. PFFmembers, including Longley Concrete MD Michael Longley, were in attendance to co-sign certificates with Judith Hackitt and Martin Clarke to show their commitment to the Code of Practice.

Tracing its roots back to 1918, The British Precast Concrete Federation (BPCF) is the trade association of precast concrete manufacturers. The main aims of the federation are to promote precast concrete in the construction market and to disseminate information, through a range of industry representation and by shared knowledge, to add value to its members.

Longley Concrete Floors has been a member of the BPCF since 2004.
